European SME Week ’09

This year MEDF was once again among the organizers of the European Day of the Entrepreneur. It was part of the manifestation 1st European SME Week ’09, which is coordinated by the European Commission.

Within this manifestation, MEDF organized panel discussion about the “Economic crisis and access to finance”. The goal was to enlighten the problems and solutions of access to finance for enterprises and financial institutions in the context of global crisis. Presenters on the event (pictured from left to right) were:

• Vladimir Matevski, Macedonian Chambers of Commerce;
• Snezana Andova, Savings House Moznosti;
• Tetjana Lazarevska, MEDF, as a moderator;
• Ivan Sverko, Hypo Alpe-Adria-Bank d.d. Zagreb, Croatia;
• Peter van der Hamen, CBI consultant, the Netherlands; and
• Antonio Argir, NLB Tutunska banka AD Skopje.

The panel was held on May 8, 2009 in hotel Alexander Palace. It was followed by 150 participants with different background (entrepreneurs, bankers, government officials) and was live streamed on internet.
