In the next four years

MCIC whill manage with MEDF

The Macedonian Enterprise Development Foundation (MEDF) selected for the third time the Macedonian Enterprise Development Foundation (MCIC) as the Management Institution, for the period from 2008-2011. The selection was made by the MEDF’s Board of Trustees, on the basis of the professional, organizational and financial capacity of MEDF.

MCIC is a significant actor of the civil society in Macedonia and region. In its portfolio, MCIC has conducted more than 1450 projects in approximately 60 programmes, totalling over 45 million EUR. Besides the management of MEDF in the last 10 years, MCIC initiated and coordinated the establishment of the Civic Platform of Macedonia, Balkan Civil Society Development Network. MCIC employs 28 employees, among whom project officers with expertise on development of financial services, financial institutions and entrepreneurship, areas in which MEDF is active. MCIC is an organization with highly regulated working processes, from strategic to operational level. It owns office facilities and equipment, which is provided for execution of the everyday activities of MEDF. MCIC has the institutional capacity and experience for financial management and reporting, which is of specific importance for MEDF. MCIC conducts audit of its financial statements, by international auditing institutions, in compliance with the International Standard for Financial Reporting.
In its new mandate, MCIC, as the Management Institution, will continue to be responsible for the execution of the management, professional and administrative works, i.e. for support to the bodies for general management and review of MEDF and implementation of the policy and programmes approved by MEDF.
